It’s time to try the star shape silicon mold for frying eggs/pancakes as it has been sitting in my bento tool box since day one.
First I separate the egg into egg yolk and white using the egg separator. Then, I pan-fried the egg yolk and egg white separately with the help of the star shape mold. The result – I get a white star and a yellow star. After this, I cut 2 slices of breads into the same size star shape. I then layered the breads with the eggs alternatively and made the smiling facial detail from seaweed.
Finally, fill up one with soy source and another one with ketchup and pack them together. So that’s all for today’s quick bento!

Initially I planned to pack him some golden kiwi too, but I didn’t manage to do so as his school van arrived a little bit early today. So, this is all for the kid.
Since today it took me much faster to prepare JY’s bento, I decided to make myself and daddy a simple sandwich breakfast bento too. The bento consists of tuna with margarine, tuna with cheddar cheese and peanut butter sandwich. The golden kiwi and cherry tomatoes were put into our bento boxes.
I use the sandwich box which comes with compartment for fruits, just nice for today’s bento. For daddy’s bento (the right box), I wrapped the sandwich in plastic cling wrap to prevent the bread become dry and hard as I need to keep them in fridge until he consumes them in later.
