Today is again the all time favourite teddy, rabbit and flower sandwich cutter in action! My boy requested for these cute characters to go with orange jam for his bento today. I added in some mini pretzel and a jelly in the bento.

Jay – Thanks for your kind comment and welcome to our blog!
No I didn’t toast it, I just use the sandwich/cookies cutter with mold to make the imprint on the bread that’s all.
Can you pls show and advise where can i get the sandwich with mold imprint on the bread?
Thanks a lot.
Caryn – Welcome to our blog! There are many type of the sandwich cutter+mold, these 3 cute teddy, rabbit and flower I got it from Japan (asking a friend to send me). Anyway, you can also get them from online shops. The one I usually visit is bentocraft.com.
I am new to bento making and just got the teddy, rabbit, flower cutters today. Do you have a suggestion on what bread is the best to use. I tried and was not successful.
Thank you
Any other useful tips?
Tracey – Hello and welcome to our blog and welcome to bento world! Oh yeah, I experienced the same thing when the bread I bought is too rough or hard, the imprint won’t look nice. I prefer to use Gardenia white bread as it is soft enough to make the print looks sharp. This bento is done with a corn bread, which is also soft enough like the Gardenia ones. As long as it is soft, I think you will managed to do the print nicely. Especially if you wanted to do sealed sandwich, the bread must be soft.
