Today is a school holiday for my boy, so no bento for today as we are spending our time out. Having some activities with my boys. So this is again another old post which is already pending in my queue for so long.
That day surprisingly when we visited a bakery shop JY wanted to buy a cheese tart for his bento! I have to double confirm with him, is a CHEESE tart, does he really want it? LOL
JY wanted to do the decoration for his cheese tart, and I’m more than happy to let him try it. Together we decorated the cheese tart as a tiger, using an ‘S’ from the alphabet biscuits to make the ears by breaking it half, and cut the facial details from seaweed (I’m helping him with the cutting part). The nose is made of dried cranberry. If you observe properly, all these decorations are placed on the plastic cover of the cheese tart. I doubt they’ll hold. Anyway, since it’s a kid’s bento, so as long as he has fun decorating his food, why not.
The cute and yummy cookies are courtesy from WS. My kid loves it! Probably should ask WS to post her recipe and steps for the cute cookies here too!
Now, take a closer look at the bento, I feel the tiger looks more like a lion with the crust of the cheese tart looking like a lion hair!
