I’ll be drawing the result of the “Happy & Healthy” contest soon, so stay tune for the winners yeah! Will announce the result tonight.
But before this let me share about the first children bento class that I conducted on 6th June first. It was a very good experience for me as a first timer, and I hope that the kids enjoyed themselves too!
There were two bento made during the class. The following photos are the sample bento I made for viewing before the class commences.
The first bento was the cheese sandwich with ladybug.
The second bento was the cute little bunny buns.
Following photos were the bento boxes and the ingredients that I prepared for the bento class.
I captured also picture of the whole set of tools I used for the bento class.
There were a total of 25 kids attending the session, which I was quite surprised to see! With that many kids ranging from 5-12 years old at one go the class was actually quite hard to control, with only me to conduct and another helper to help around. There were some turned up on that morning of the class itself, and the ingredients & bento boxes I prepared were not really enough! Sorry for that folks! If there is next time, I’ll make sure I always prepared at least 20% more for everything.
Anyway, we managed to complete both bento within the session which is 1.5 hours. The funniest thing was, while I was already running short of the ingredients for everyone to fill up their bento, the kids were eating the food while preparing their bento! Some already finished up their first bento and started to eat the food which meant for second bento while we were preparing the second one! And some was running after me asking for cheese, seaweed, strawberry or grapes that they can eat. LOL
Following are some of the kids’ masterpiece. When I was downloading the photo from my camera, I realized that I didn’t take any photo of the second bento done by the kids, ooppsss!
Anyway, as you can see, the bento box was not really fully packed due to lack of ingredients. LOL

Whatta cute bento samples! Congrats for the bento class. You can lend Doraemon’s magic door so that I can be there anytime you need a helper, LOL! The kids’ works are cool; you’re such a great bento sensei
tatabonita – Oh wow, if you are here, you can be the sensei too, not my helper!
I just hope the kids had a great time there.
INTERESTING..!
I would be having panic attack to see so many children in the class.. I dun think I would be able to handle, if I were u..haha..
I love to see the bunny bun…cute!! I will use these idea fr my kid’s bento tomorrow… I copy copy okay, sensei!?
Deby Suwito – Actually I was kind of worried too when I see so many kids together! Because of the age difference, I think those elder ones will have some boring waiting time while waiting for the younger ones to catch up! But this first class is really a great experience and a good lesson learn for me and the organizer too. If there is next class, I think we can improve. LOL
Glad that you like the bunny bun! You are most welcome to use the idea, we are all here to share and learn from each others isn’t it?
Aaaaahh….. you are the teacher that day!
i didn’t know it……..

june lai – Oh really!! I think I know which one, the cute boy sitting at corner front row with another cute Malay girl right? He is so cute! He keep asking me what are those cutters for and how to use them! I think he can be your helper later when you make bento for him. That means I actually talked to you too right after the class?! By the way, nice to meet you!
