The bento box I used today is the same as one of the prizes in my “Happy & Healthy” giveaway contest previously. I love the vibrant yellow of the bento boxes, which comes in four different sizes. I use the second largest one for JY’s bento today.
I did not have anything particular in mind that I wanted to make and I thought instead of wasting my time trying to think of what to do, I might as well just replicate the cute bear on the cover of this bento box.
I cut the bear from the very light yellow butter bread with the biggest round cutter, but carefully leaving the ears part uncut.
I used the left over bread crust and seaweed for the facial details. I layered the eyes part using different sections of the bread crust which formed two different shades. The eyes look livelier with layers, don’t they? Lastly I gave the bear a red ribbon with the ribbon food pick.
I let the bear sat on a round silicon baking cup, and I put some cherries in the remaining spaces of the bento box, separated from the bread by some green lettuce leaves.
Pretty simple isn’t it?
