Today is my boy’s school Kiddie Sport Day rehearsal and they will make the trip to the stadium in school buses! The event will finish around 1pm and they will start childcare earlier than usual. Therefore today I can make him a slightly heavier bento compares to the past few days. I was thinking of giving him some sweet treats and snacks to celebrate the event.
I am sure he will be very excited during the event even though it is just a rehearsal. He reminded me again and again the night before that he would not need school bag but just the childcare bag, a water tumbler with stripe, a handkerchief, and he would put on uniform and sport shoes. He repeated this more than 3 times within that few hours before he went to bed just to make sure that I remembered! Does he think I am that forgetful? Oh well, honestly, I am. I had to kept reminding myself not to forget to apply sun block on him, which I did, phew!
All right, now let us see what sweet treats I had prepared for JY.
In the lunch box there were some cookies, dried prunes, two mini Toblerone chocolates bars, some boiled sausages and three skewers of boiled endamame.
Everything was packed in separate containers and packages so that they stayed fresh – cookies in the plastic bag, dried prunes in the small half-transparent container, Toblerone in their original packaging, and the sausages & endamame in the heart shape dessert cup.
In case my boy cannot finish all the food, they will remain fresh and he can eat them when he comes home later.
Hope he has a fun time today, and wish him all the best!
By the way, I made this an entry for the Back To School B.O.M.B. fun in Hapa Bento. Killing two birds with one stone – I turn the sausages into cute pencils with seaweed and artificial crab meat which I hope it meets the theme. Pencils are essential to kindergarten students yeah.
