I managed to make my boy another Halloween theme bento today, hurray!
I gave him a Nutella Coca Hazelnut spread sandwich in the bento. On top of the sandwich, I decorated it with a full moon and two little flying bats. I hope these are good for a Halloween theme.
The moon was a piece of cheese cut into round shape and I cut the two bats from seaweeds by hand. That was the reason why their sizes differ. Well, they could be a mother and a baby bats admiring the moon.
Besides the sandwich, I also included two strawberries and a dried prune in the bento. Again I used the bone food pick for the prune since this was another Halloween theme bento.
I should have found something a little more ‘scary’ for the strawberries rather than the two lovely heart-shape food picks!
Another reminder, remember to take part in the 1st Anniversary Giveaway before the closing date on 22nd Oct 2010, Friday midnight Malaysia time (GMT+8).
Happy Wednesday to all and I shall post this bento to What’s For Lunch Wednesday fun!

wah! i like the bats and moons~ but not the cheese~ hehe..erm..if the strawberries are mini oranges, then should look more like pumpkin? hehe..
波尼 – Guess what, now JY started to eat those cheese! But of course I cannot put too much or partial will come back with the bento box
Oh yeah, if I could use oranges, but JY is still not fully recovered from his cough lately so that is out from his meal menu for a moment.
You made sandwich, Emily and me too… So, a lot of sandwiches for today’s bento
tatabonita – Hey, what a co-incident!
haha..spooky bats!!!…seeing the word “scary” in yr post, suddenly i have an idea…can made some zig-zag mouth shape and ‘scary’ eyes on yr cheese-moon. will it make the bento have more halloween feel? hehe:P
莎莎妈咪sab – Thank you, that is a good idea! I shuold use it next time if I can make more Halloween theme bento!
Love the nori bats and cheesy moon!
Steph – Thank you!
You did those bats by hand?! You have amazing skills. I love them!
Sonoma Bento – Thank you! Yeah just free hand that’s why the sizes differ, because I’m always so lazy to trace with paper before cut
Haha…I made Nutella sandwich & bats too..just so coincidence! Nice cutting as always.
Emily Ng – Thanks! What a co-incident yeah!
Wahhh.. cut freehand… amazing!
I still have not started my “halloween” theme yet cz my girl said she doesn’t like the idea. =S
Yeapies – Thank you! As usual I’m always very lazy to do ‘homework’ so usually will just try to cut freehand. My boy is just the opposite, he was so excited with all these scary thing, haha…
Without tracing paper, those are really awesome hand cut bats! Very nice Halloween bento series
Lia Chen – Thank you!
