First of all, I would like to thank all of you who have participated in the KidsDreamWork 1st Anniversary Giveaway fun and make it a success! I am in the midst of sorting out the list of entries and double check on that so that I don’t miss out anyone. So please bear with me and I shall announce the result once I sort the list out and draw the lucky winner.
Now back to the bento business. Last Friday I made my boy this Scooby Doo pasta bento, and I mentioned that it slipped my mind to make the little orange carrot into Jack O’Lantern. Therefore today I decided to make my boy another Halloween theme bento and of course with the crafted carrot Jack O’Lantern!
Besides the carrot Jack O’Lantern, I made a ghost too with hard boiled egg. I cut the facial detail from seaweed and used the bone food picks for the hands.
The rest of the bento box was filled with a strawberry mantou (oriental bread), grapes and boiled endamame.
Somehow I felt that the strawberry mantou was too pinkish for a Halloween theme, I should have bought the one with chocolate flavour instead.
Anyway, wish everyone a Happy Monday and a great week ahead!
For all US and Canadian readers, please don’t forget to take part in the CSN Store Giveaway before the closing date on 20th October 2010, midnight Malaysia time (GMT+8).

aha.. a cute ghost!
bobo -Thank you!
Nice carrot crafting, Ai Ping. The hard boiled egg ghost is so cute. Nice Halloween bento. ^.^
Emily Ng – Thank you! I thought with just one carrot Jack O’Lantern the bento was a bit too plain, that was why the hard boiled egg ghost came into picture!
that bread is so pretty! i love the pumpkin carrot and ghostie egg. Good use of the picks too!
kelly – Thanks Kelly! The oriental bread is yummy too
or maybe a plain white one? then you can add something to it..haha..bats maybe?:P
PS: the ghost is really cute~~ hehe.. this is my first time ever i don’t feel like eating an egg.. haha..
波尼 – Yeah, why didn’t I thought about that? Maybe if I added a bat there on top of the oriental bun it won’t look so pinkish then?
Don’t feel like eating because it is too spooky or cute?
Nope..it’s not “or”..it’s “AND”..haha..
波尼 – Haha, ok ok, both!
Great Halloween bento!
I love that egg ghost with the bones sticks out …totally cute!
Lina – Welcome to KidsDreamWork and thanks for leaving us a message! That is a lazy way out using the food pick instead of cutting from some food!
Happy Halloween!
prince n princess mum – Happy Halloween to you too!
