This is the second Christmas theme bento I made for my boy – a happy snowman bento. This was quite a speedy one because it took me less than 15 minutes to get the bento ready.
To make the quail egg snowman, I secured the two hard boiled quail eggs with a tiny un-cooked spaghetti stripe. The eyes and mouth were cut from seaweed, nose from boiled carrot and I used artificial crabstick for the rosy cheeks and the scarf.
I gave the snowman a cute little blue hat using the hat food pick, and the hands were the bone shape food picks. All these little picks really come handy when I need to make speedy bento.
Besides the quail egg snowman, I cooked JY some Scooby Doo shape pasta as requested. If you follow my blog, you would know that JY loves to eat pasta with furikake sprinkle instead of tomato paste. Hence I put some furikake sprinkle in the small orange colour sauce container so that he can use them for the pasta. I shall buy him some proper seasoning containers one day (another excuse to spend money!).
I completed the snack meal with some dried prunes. Hope JY enjoys his snack later and wishes everyone a great week ahead!
By the way, don’t forget to sign up your kids for the cake pops workshop this Saturday if you would like them to have some fun during this school holiday!
