Today I’m supposed to try making some puzzle sandwiches with the new Lunch Punch Puzzle set that I bought few days ago for my boy’s bento.
But there was a lot of leftover rice from last night’s dinner, so I put aside the plan. Instead, I used the leftover rice to make some meat floss onigiri.
Just to add something cute to the bento, I made a pair of happy boys with the onigiri and decorated them with the newly bought bento decorative hats.
They look so adorable with the hats aren’t they?
To get the beige colour on the rice, I mixed them with a very small amount of light soy source. I used strawberry jam for the rosy cheeks instead of tomato sauce because JY doesn’t really like it.
I filled up the rest of the bento box with some boiled endamame and a dried prune.
Hopefully tomorrow I can try out the new bento gear!
