Due to the change of job schedule and some life routines since starting of the year, I’ve been lacking in updating this blog though I still make bento. Please accept my apologies for not answering questions in a timely manner.
To my dear blogger friends and blog followers, please pardon me too for not being able to visit your blogs as frequent as before. I feel so warmth for receiving many concern emails and messages for my missing in action. Thank you for always being with me!
Hopefully I can adjust to the new routines and get back to the momentum of blogging soon.
Lately I’ve been making mostly speedy bento for JY, and his bento today is one of the speedy ones.
I bought some raisin buns from a local bakery shop last night for JY’s snack bento today. I try to decorate the bun into a teddy bear, and I hope it does look like one!
I used the handy bone shape food picks for the ears, and the 3D food pick as the nose. Does the little pink ribbon looks like a butterfly on the nose of the shocked bear?
The muzzle was cut with the heart shape cutter (which was captured in the photo at the background of the bento) from another piece of the raisin bun. As you can guess, the eyes were the raisins from the bun too which I stick them onto the bun with some Nutella spread.
Besides the bun, there were some dried prunes with the cute smiling piggy food picks and also some slices of organic dried apples. JY loves these organic dried apples so much that he requested to keep the whole box for himself! I had no problem with that request, reason being JQ doesn’t like it at all and hence no one is going to object that request!
By the way, if you would like to do something for Japan, hop over to the Bento4Japan HQ where the bento communities around the world have come together and joined forces to raise funds for Japan.
Bento4Japan auction on eBay is still going on, please check it out here.
